What We Do

Sky Topographic defines the area to be surveyed and creates a plan that includes the flight path and altitude of the drone. We assess the survey area and set up ground control which are reference points used to calibrate the drone’s data.

Once the mission is planned, our trained, FAA licensed professionals fly the drone, capturing high-resolution images and topographic data. The drone follows the pre-programmed flight path, ensuring complete, widespread coverage of the survey area.

The images that are captured by the drone are processed using specialized photogrammetry software that geolocates the images, creating topographic maps accurate to survey standards. The processed images are analyzed to extract valuable information such as contours, planimetric features, Orthophotos, 3D surface models and volumetric measurements.
